On the corner across from Cabot Square I dance in the rain. It is pouring down on my face and washing away the lines I previously drew. The space is expanding. I raise my arms skywards and spin in the puddles; the rain is filling my gumboots. I am swimming through these movements. The cars that pass are honking, there is a man watching under a covered doorway, long hauls on his cigarette. A woman walks by and exclaims ‘you go girl!’ Another comes from the Children’s Hospital across the road to ask me if I am dancing for her daughter. She is eagerly watching from the 9th floor, she explains. My answer is yes.
