Temps-Libre

Temps-Libre, Choreography for video and live performance installation. Centre d’exposition de Saint-Hyacinthe

A choreography for three untrained movers to play on the architectural setting proposed by Stephane Gilot. The structure consists of five spaces attached by a runway. The rooms were divided by the five elements of Internal Chinese Medicine, each room representing a different organ. Each artist was assigned an organ and developed their own movement vocabulary based on the elements associated with their given organ. The material was filmed and performed live for the duration of the exhibition where observers could walk amidst the movement and the architectural setting at will.
